I was walking to Bunam Middle School from the bus terminal, when all of a sudden out of the corner of my eye I saw a large black figure rustling behind a bush. My Canadian instincts took over (where’s the mother bear?!?) and I froze in my tracks. My heart started pounding, and I stared for at least a solid minute before deciding to walk up a bit further to see what it was. When I was about twenty feet away, its head quickly jutted out of the top of the bush, and I found myself staring straight into the eyes of… a goat. He looked at me, snorted, and resumed his delicious meal of weeds on the side of the highway…
I didn’t need my morning coffee today…

Amazing! I guess that made your morning. Is that the first time that you see a goat in S. Korea? Are they more abundant than here?
ReplyDeleteI don't think they're more abundant, they're just in really random places (beside stores, on the sides of the highways etc..).
ReplyDeleteOh, and now there are 3 of them on my way to school! This morning, I sneezed while I was walking by them, and they all jumped and made the weirdest burping noises in unison. I literally scared the gas right outta them! It was the strangest thing I ever heard, but it made my day :)
:) good thing you didn't come face to face with a black cow. That surely would have had you running all the way home. I can see however how you mistaken a goat with a black bear. They do look alot alike :)
ReplyDeleteAre you making fun of me?
